TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up
The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That should round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
